Valeri V. Souchkov, M.Sc, Certified TRIZ Master
Valeri Souchkov engaged to innovation-related activities by co-founding Invention Machine Labs in 1989, which was called as “one of the most innovative companies of the USA” by Fortune magazine in 1999. Later he co-founded several companies to promote TRIZ and systematic innovation worldwide. He pioneered public training in TRIZ and Systematic Innovation in Central and Western Europe in 1995.
Since 2003, Valeri heads ICG Training & Consulting located in Enschede, the Netherlands. He is also an invited faculty member to lecture on TRIZ and Systematic Innovation at the University of Twente (Enschede, The Netherlands) and TIAS Business School (Tilburg, the Netherlands).
He performed over 250 training workshops on TRIZ and Systematic Innovation where he trained over 6000 professionals and students from over 60 countries. He assisted over 100 innovative projects in diverse industries to help customer companies to solve most challenging innovative issues to develop breakthrough products and business strategies. He also advised top management of several multinational corporations on the best practices of implementing systematic innovation.
Among his customers are major multinational companies such as ABN AMRO, ASML, Campina, Capgemini, General Electric, Fujifilm, ING Bank, LG Electronics, NXP, Oracle, PepsiCo, Philips, Samsung, Shell, Siemens, Unilever as well as government and international agencies such as Royal Dutch Navy, Queen Rania Centre for Entrepreneurship of Jordan, the Ministry of Economics of the Netherlands, UN Development Program, and so forth. In total he trained and assisted over 300 customer organizations.
He is a co-founder and Executive Board Member of the European TRIZ Association (ETRIA), which introduced the annual global conference “TRIZ Future” and which currently unites members from over 50 countries.
He also Vice President of the International TRIZ Association (MATRIZ) and is responsible for co-chairing the annual global conferences of MATRIZ. He represents MATRIZ Council on Expertise and Methodology and is accredited to certify all educational levels recognized by MATRIZ.
Valeri developed several systematic innovation techniques, authored and co-authored 4 books and over 100 publications on TRIZ and Systematic Innovation. The technique “Root Conflict Analysis (RCA+)” for analysis of innovative problems and challenges developed by him was adapted by a number of Fortune 500 companies, including Samsung as the best practice of innovation analytics.
His training courses were licensed and have been taught at a number of universities and organizations worldwide.
Valeri was certified as TRIZ Specialist by G. Altshuller in 1991 and was awarded the TRIZ Master degree for his contribution to the development of TRIZ by the International TRIZ Association (MATRIZ) in 2013.
Valeri holds M.Sc. degree in computer science and engineering from Belarus State University of Informatics and Electronics.
